"This was the first time staying at this location. We expected a hotel, all one building really. When we got there it was set up beautifully with separate housing plans, we were on second floor, so steps were alittle challenging at times. But everyone was very friendly. Quit time at night was nice. Private beach parking and our own access. Then the pond (turtle sanctuary: paddle boat area), pools and land were perfect! I can’t wait to stay there next year. So much I could say great. If I had to comment on one thing would be there were no vending machines or food access On property. Bar was open limited times. Walmart was literally within walking distance in front of building so that’s helpful for food and snacks!"

"It was a nice quiet area. We loved to sit outside & watch the birds while having coffee in the morning. We also enjoyed use of the parking pass and the beach chairs. The bed was super comfortable! I loved all of natural light, but happy I brought a sleep mask or I would have had a difficult time with the big beautiful window in the bedroom. It would be helpful to have a couple solar lights on the stairs. We didn't want to leave the outside light on all day. If you like a quiet beach go check out Pea Island area. So much to explore and see in OBX!"

"Our two night (and more importantly…the mornings) were wonderful. Property is secluded and peaceful while being near an abundance of activities. Everything was clean and comfortable. Loved my morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the water with the sea air blowing in my face. Bliss."

"Beautiful house with thoughtful details! It made it easy to immediately relax into vacation. The house was super clean and comfortable. Motion activated night lights inside and out made navigating it with children a breeze. Easily my favorite OBX house we’ve stayed in!"

"The property was excellent. Everything we needed was provided. The communication with the owners was greatly appreciated and made our vacation that much more memorable. The rooms were clean , the pool was a favorite place for the family and a nice diversion when we couldn’t go to the beach. The hot tub was a welcome destination after a long day and was a relaxing end to the day. Everything about this rental was first rate and gets a super recommendation from all of us. Thanks to the owners this vacation will be remembered for a long time."

"10 stars! It was so wonderful to be nestled in this woodland retreat as the forest provided relief from the relentless Heat Wave over 4th of July (250th!) weekend. Also a peaceful escape as it sits fairly far away from the highway and retail areas. The stairs are long, but doable if you aren't carrying much. Colleen is best hostess ever! No, seriously, she IS the best out of ALL my travel stays. Sweet touches and treats everywhere. Definitely coming back here."

"This property and its owners are amazing! We had every kitchen pot, pan, flipper and dipper we needed. All the furniture was so comfortable! The view is just so beautiful. When they say steps from the beach - they MEAN it! Kitty Hawk has great restaurants and all shops are close by. We would love to stay again and again. This was exactly the reset I needed. Thank you so much!"

"WOW!! This house was amazing! Check-in was a breeze and we walked in to a very clean house. I stayed in the master suite and was really surprised at how comfortable I found the bed to be. I've had multiple back surgeries and bedding is usually miserable, but this king bed was perfect. I also enjoyed having the attached bath that I did not have to share with kids or grandchildren.My daughter and her teenagers LOVED the upstairs loft. And my additional toddler grandchildren (stayed elsewhere) got a big thrill out of playing in the loft with their cousins. The living and dining spaces were very spacious and easily accommodated our party of 9. The furniture was incredibly comfortable and the entire house is nicely decorated. The kitchen was big enough for our needs and had every appliance and utensil you could want.The kids were repeatedly torn between the quick bike ride to the beach or swimming in the pool, and ended up doing both most days. The pool and beach toys provided were great as was the beach parking pass (I drove to the beach) and the 6 bikes! This host really does provided everything you need for outdoor fun in the sun.I will definitely book this house again in the future! Areca responded immediately when we had a power issue after a huge storm and had us back to 100% in no time. She has thought of everything a guest could want for an incredible beach experience and provided it at a very reasonable price."
