Inn on the Harbor

"This is a GREAT out of the way stay. We mistakenly booked it thinking it was in Bar Harbor and was surprised upon arriving in Bar Harbor for sightseeing and dinner that the hotel was over an hour away! We quickly pivoted our plans/shopping/dinner to earlier times and arrived to the property in the later evening (around 8:30ish). We were tired and fell asleep quickly only to wake up to a gorgeous view from our window that we could not enjoy due to a scheduled tour in BH that morning. So we checked out and drove to BH but was informed that our scheduled tour was cancelled(!!). We were so disappointed, but very happy we stumbled across this property. We will be back!!"

"Great little village they and have and sparkling clean yurts. Unfortunately our check in could have been a bit smoother. We didn’t get specific information on our yurt# and door PIN. I had to reach out to them after the check in hour. However, they were very responsive once I did call. Overall, we would go back!"

"Really cute spot very close to lots to do. Clean and the bed was super comfortable! I am sure it depends on who all is there and how busy, but it felt like I could hear everyone all the time so if you’re noise sensitive may not be a good spot! I enjoyed all other aspects though!"

"Very lovely spot to stay a few days to explore the island. The cottage was clean and everything was convenient. Since you have to bring all your food and drink its location was perfect. Overlooking the harbor was the best part of our stay. Will definitely plan to return."
Hidden Gem Cottage' Near Blue Hill Peninsula

"Photos are misleading. The cottage is attached to a house. The photos of the external setting show a place that appears to stand-alone. While we did not see and rarely heard the owners of the house (hosts), we had expected a different (more private) setting. The host did not provide any written instructions about how to use the unique refrigerator / freezer (two drawers in the kitchen cabinet) or the microwave or other “stuff” in the house. On the plus side: Bed was very comfortable, rooms large with high ceilings, large bathroom with shower, and well-equipped kitchen. We appreciated the location, near a land trust (the one hundred acre woods) and a blueberry barren, and the relatively uncrowded area even at the height of tourist season."
