James was super helpful in all things - including letting me to use his bike (I was without a car) and giving me a lift to Ennis when I wanted to visit Doolin and the cliffs. Holy Island with its ancient remains of a monastery is a must see - the place is pretty much sacred and it feels that way. You can get a boat ride to and from the island from Mountshannon. There is a nice pub in the village with friendly hosts...

"The house was very clean except for the carpets. There was a lot of room for our group. The rooms were large and adequately furnished. The kitchen utensils and cookware was a bit sparse. The rent was very reasonable, but I would rather pay a bit more and not have to “rent” towels or supply additional toilet paper or buy dish soap. "
