It seems there is a damp issue as the property unfortunately smelt mildewy and the bed clothes were all damp on arrival which meant we had to use own blankets for the night - we wondered if there is scope to improve ventilation . "We chose this house so we could visit Skellig Island. Sadly, the trip was cancelled due to stormy weather but we didn't mind too much as the house was such a pleasure to hunker down in! We used our downtime to catch up on showers, laundry, rest, and relaxation before resuming our tour around Ireland. "Beautiful home with ample room for two families. We were greeted by the host who took the time to show us around and followed up with us to make sure all was going well. She provided us with milk, cream, coffee and tea which was much appreciated. It is newly remodeled, each room was lovely and well kept. There is outdoor furniture and the lawn rolls down to the sea. We would highly recommend."

"A fantastic experience. The beach for the children was a homerun! They spent all day hunting for lipids, mussels & clams. The sauna was going was so refreshing after a dip in the pool and bay. A daily ritual. Seal cottage was lovely and most comfortable. Tomas and Margrite(sp) were very helpful. We were there for over 3 weeks and hated to leave! We will return. 5 stars!"

"Schull is a lovely place and the house is in possible the best place to enjoy it. The views are stupendous and the walk into the village is quick, convenient and scenic. The house is well laid-out to make the best of it's amazing position and the facilities are ample and convenient. "We had a wonderful stay at Skellig Bay Cottage! The house was spacious and comfortable and had everything that we needed. The location was perfect for relaxing in front of the views and short day trips to all of the sights. Our favorite part of the house was the large ocean front window.
