In the morning, throw your bath towel over your shoulder and walk the short distance to the sandy beach. Here you can stand with your legs in the shallow and refreshing water and see across the Kattegat to Sweden. The wide sandy beach of Hornbæk is also a popular meeting place for swimming and water sports during the summer months. The North Coast Route invites you to explore the Danish Riviera on foot or by bike and head east towards Helsingør and visit the famous Hamlet Castle Kronborg or head west to explore Gilleleje. A charming harbor town with many restaurants, beautiful beaches and entertainment invites you to eat ice cream.
