"Excellent location for us and we were able to just leave our car and walk to everywhere we needed to be. We were even able to walk downtown to the waterfront to see the sights. The surrounding neighbourhood seemed very safe at night. The Inn was very clean and the continental breakfast was well laid out. A warm, comfortable environment overall. This property does not have an elevator so we had to carry our luggage up and down 2 flights of stairs. Being 80ish, this was not so easy. Staff did offer help if we needed it. Our towels had seen better days, and we would have liked to have had extra towels in the room when we arrived. A second towel rack would certainly help keep things organized in the bathroom. The Inn’s website did not say that there was a mini fridge in the room. We were surprised to find one! "

"Very nice hotel in the middle of downtown Halifax. Staff very friendly. Everything here was so clean. The room was extremely spacious (as Residence Inns are) and this one was cleaner than some that I have seen in other cities. Great breakfast was provided. The parking was gone by the time we arrived at 8:00 p.m., so we parked three blocks away in the public garage and it only cost $12. The exercise was good for us. By the way, there are big hills to climb if that is an issue. We had drinks across the street in one of the many pubs. Restaurants are everywhere! The harbor was right next to the parking garage and had so many fun activities. Warning - there is noise at night due to the many nightclubs surrounding the area. My earplugs did the job."
