"Beautiful hotel.
I wanted to give 5 stars for staff as the receptionists welcome was lovely. I was helped with my bag to my room. The spa team really professional and informative. Both doorman I encountered advised on the weather for the day and short cuts for where I needed to go in the city. I even received a compliment on my outfit which was super sweet.
Sadly I only gave 4 stars for staff. All but one member of staff were super friendly, helpful and professional. The team were let down by one person who ignored my presence on purpose when I sat in his area in the lounge. He was chatting to colleagues who were working the bar so was not busy. I gave this person 15 minutes to bother themselves to serve me but had to ask a passing waiter. Who apologised for his colleague, explained he would have approached sooner but he was looking after a different area. This pleasant young man got me a drinks menu, recommended a cocktail and brought me my drink efficiently-he got the tip. The lazy waiter meanwhile remained at the bar chatting (I got the impression he didn't wish to serve me as he wanted to finish his shift).
Oh well I'm sure management will spot this member of the team that clearly is in the wrong job."
