"We were only here a short time as on overnight stop on our journey. Nice location slightly outside the main town, with a nice view of the river. Very clean and tidy. Breakfast was included and had a good choice of food. Fantastic shower! Easy to control temperature and pressure unlike some hotels. My only criticism would be that outside our room window was a floodlight that they use to light up the outside of the building at night, which illuminated the surroundings of the curtain mimicking daylight all night long so we didn’t have a completely dark room. "

"We stayed for one night on our way back from Rushmore on a road trip. Our plan was to stay next to the hot pools in Lava Hot Springs since we got online tickets to use that facility. The Riverside Inn is a historic property conveniently located with a friendly staff. It wears its age well but it is part of the experience. It doesn’t have elevator or luggage cart however the staff offered help with our bags which was very nice. Dave went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed in the property. We tried their Portneuf Grille&Lounge and were amazed with the espresso drink prepared by Will. The breakfast was cooked to order and delicious, thanks to Colter and Alexa for making it so enjoyable. Overall we had a great time at the Riverside Inn."
