"A truly lovely place to stay! One of the best hotel views EVER. Very friendly staff, well-maintained and new rooms. And did I mention the views? Fewer frills than some of the bigger properties in the Duoro, but peaceful, comfortable and friendly. Highly recommended!"

"An unforgettable experience in the Douro Valley. The views from the property are simply stunning, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special — personalized touches throughout made it feel like far more than just a hotel stay. The chef's dinner was a true highlight, and the wine tasting experience was expertly guided. The only reason this isn't a full five stars is the more rural location means a bit more travel time to reach — but that's also part of what makes the Douro so peaceful and worth visiting. A beautiful, memorable stay we'd happily repeat."

"The best place to stay in the Douro Valley! Régua is quaint, good dining and access to the train station. The owners were very welcoming upon arrival and the room was impeccable and charming. Beautiful views, gorgeous gardens, bird avierys and a lovely pool! Breakfast was wonderful and a great finish to our trip to Port country!"

"Quinta de la Rosa is an amazing place to stay. Everything from the amazing awe-inspiring views, to the helpful, friendly and lovely staff, to the beautiful rooms (we stayed in Amarela 24 and it was gorgeous), to the delicious and highend food and wine, we were blown away. We will stay here again but only longer. The pools are perfect and we felt so relaxed. The winery is outstanding. I can’t say enough good things. We loved it here! Thank you especially to Sophia for her wonderful service at the front desk and with the winery tour."

"Our stay at Octant Douro was easily the highlight of our trip to Portugal. We absolutely loved the hotel’s tranquil and picturesque setting along the Douro River. Our room overlooked the river, and we often found ourselves sitting in silence, simply taking in the breathtaking scenery and peaceful surroundings. The pool facilities were beautifully maintained and provided the perfect setting for relaxation. The restaurants were outstanding, and the breakfast was excellent, offering a delicious and varied selection each morning. What truly elevated our experience, however, was the exceptional staff. Everyone we encountered was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making our stay all the more memorable. Overall, we had an incredible experience and cannot recommend Octant Douro highly enough. We sincerely hope to return in the future and look forward to exploring some of Octant’s other properties throughout Portugal."
