The home is located in a great spot and is just two miles away from Oval Beach! If you're looking to be within walking distance to the water, Douglas Beach is just that. Just under four miles away is Saugatuck #1 rated restaurant, The Southerner. Check it out for some delicious lake-side breakfast!

Great location and an old time field

The location gave me warm memories of my trips to northern Michigan as a teenager in the 80s Cozy upstairs room that cool off nicely with ceiling fans and central air. Kitchen has everything you need to make Family breakfasts and dinner for a large crowd The back porch was wonderful for making s’mores and telling stories around a fire pit. Best part of all was the five minute walk to Douglas Beach!

Cute house in a good location

Cozy house great for the whole family! The location is beautiful and our kids loved watching the deer, turkeys and birds right in the backyard. The accommodations are good but there were quite a few things that need improvement. The bathroom upstairs didnt lock and the bathtub did not drain. The king size beds are two twins put together and if you sit on the edge they almost flipover. There is also an ant problem so we could not leave anything on the kitchen counters for more than a few minutes. The fridge also leaked water from the freezer and so our pizza was soaked after being stored in the fridge overnight. The house is beautiful and has a lot of charm but it also has a smell like its not being used very much. Other than those issues we had a great stay.

From renting, to finding the house, and begin the move-in process, everything was easy.

Great location

Great location to be close to a small local beach, didn’t actually go to the beach except to watch the sunset which was great. Big backyard with a firepit. Plenty of bedrooms which worked great for our 2 and 4 year olds, lots of space in the house. Wish there were more restaurants closer within walking distance but still just a short drive away. If you have kids I would say this is a great spot to stay as you have lots of space outside and inside and close to the beach.

Great Home by Lake Michigan

House was very clean and easy to access. Lake Michigan is on opposite of side of road. Very quiet neighborhood. It was perfect for our ladies group. Plenty of bath towels and kitchen had plenty of dishes and utensils and pots and pans. Nice sitting area outback with wildlife seen frequently. The only thing that was a little off from what was advertised was that the listing showed 2 of the bedrooms having 2 twin bed each and in reality one of the room contained a trundle bed. Not a big big deal for most maybe but my only suggestion would be to clarify that on the listing. But overall we were 99.999999% satisfied and would stay there again.

Family Vacation

Home is nestled in a wooded neighborhood, just a short drive from downtown Saugatuck (about 5 minutes) and equal distance to Oval Beach the other way. Slept 6 adults and 2 kiddos easily. Only suggestion would be to update the coffee maker, took too long to brew a pot. Other then that, would definitely stay again.

A lovely, cozy getaway

We stayed for three nights in September and the house was perfect. Located in a tree-covered and quite lakeshore neighborhood of Douglas. It is very well maintained and organized. Perfect for a weekend getaway with family and friends. We loved the firepit and well maintained yard. Very comfortable beds.

Great Location in Quiet Neighborhood

Enjoyed our stay. Loved the fact they had baby gates and a step stool when we stayed. Much better alternative than staying in hotel during these times!

Great location!

The house is well appointed and on a beautiful street. We would definitely stay there again. The only drawback, is there are a lot of bugs in the house. I’m not sure if this is because it was built in the early 1900’s and there are lots of trees, or if they just need an exterminator to come and take care of it.

Good location - could use updating

The "king" beds were two twins put together. The twin beds had sheets that didn't actually fit the beds. We ask for longer ones and they brought us some that were somewhat better. We had big ants in the living room. We liked the location, but Douglas beach is closed. The carpet is stained in places. The second bathroom is by the laundry room and could use updating.

Description of house incorrect

The location of the property was amazing!! The listing indicated there were 4 bedrooms and one of the rooms had 3 twin beds. When I did the 360 tour online I emailed Vacasa and still have received no answer in the inaccurate number of beds. One person had to sleep on an uncomfortable couch. Also kitchen dishes were not clean at all! First floor had multiple mold issues in flooring especially in bathroom and kitchen. Listing needs to be updated to reflect the correct status of this property.
