"When my Wife and I were looking for a mini vacation, my first words were quiet with maybe a little fishing. If you like the sound of birds and the wind rushing through the trees, you have found your happy place. A most excellent choice for couples with perhaps a small family. We must have missed the whiporwhill season. I was hoping to hear them again. The fishing on Smith is always a gamble so prepare to catch a ton or none. The surroundings are top notch! Silence.....ahhhh!"

"This property was everything we could wish for in a lakeside cabin. Secluded, quiet & beautiful land complete with a gas grill, fire pit, porch seating for cool evening dinners, spacious dock for lazy days fishing or swimming and a canoe with paddle’s & various sized life jackets for exploring lake Smith. The cabin was super clean with all of the necessities. The beds & linens are comfy with extra blankets just in case. We loved our stay & recommend to everyone."

The dock was very close to the house which was very easy and convenient! The property manager was so helpful and easy to communicate with. We can't wait to go back!"

Wether we were swimming, fishing, fishing in the kayaks, or making a fire and s'mores. We literally had a blast! It is down a dirt road but it really isn't that bad! "If you love nature this place is perfect! Quiet little oasis in a very secluded area perfect for family gatherings or just couples. This was actually our second visit! We loved the seclusion, private beach and surrounding National Forest area. So many beautiful trails and sites to see in this area of Alabama and not enough time to get them all in. We’ll definitely be back again and would suggest friends and family to visit as well 😊❤️"
