This is an almost 300 year old home that feels like a grandmother’s hug. It’s rather out of the way, so make sure you check the map and driving times, but if you’re okay with the location, you should definitely stay here. The home has everything you’ll need, the beds are comfortable, there is plenty of hot water and wonderful water pressure in the shower, and the views from the windows are stunning. The real magic of this home, though, is the owner. Have a problem? Tom is ON IT. Need a suggestion, a story, a joke, some advice? He has all those, too. It’s a wonderful way to feel welcomed to Ireland and to get to know a true Irishman!

Carrigmore Farm was our first stop of several stops during our trip to Ireland. It turned out to be our favorite stay out of three. Thanks to Mr. Tom, we will have warm, kind, amazing memories of our visit. Whether it was ensuring that our fire was going and keeping us warm, pulling out peddle carts when he saw that we had young girls with us, or just having plain old good company and conversation whenever we were around, Mr. Tom maintained attentiveness and keen detail (the girls still say that riding the carts around the farm was their favorite thing from Ireland after over a week of adventures). The bathroom, kitchen, and bedrooms were also well stocked when we arrived -which is more than I can say for other places we have stayed during our travels. This went a very long way for us, being that we had traveled via 2 planes and several hours via car to get here. Nearby grocery stores were also not so near. So having something for us to eat and drink after multiple hours of travel immediately let us know that we came to the right place. We've told everyone about Carrigmore Farm the moment we got home. Being here was an absolutely wonderful experience.

We miss it already! We had such a lovely stay. Tom and Tina couldn’t have been better hosts opening up the farmhouse to us. The home had so much charm and captured the experience we were looking for. The location was great for day trips to explore (with the help of Tom’s wonderful suggestions). The boys (3 & 5) love the property and had fun exploring. Everything exceeded our expectations and it was a trip we will hold dear always. Thank you Tom and Tina! You have something really special!

No word of a lie, you couldn't find a better place to stay in all the world. Tom was so welcoming and kind. He went above and beyond to give us a true Irish experience. He is incredibly knowledgable about the area (and beyond) and will be able to guide you to some incredible sights you wouldn't know about otherwise! You will want for nothing staying at this beautiful traditional cottage and is just a hop skip and a jump away from a few amazing spots!!We couldn't be more thankful for the experience we had and will forever remember and carry these memories forever.

Die Vermieter sind sehr nette und hilfsbereite Leute, alles wird dafür getan, daß man sich dort wie zu Hause fühlt. Sie sind vor Ort und jederzeit ansprechbar, auch für Tipps, Hinweise oder Fragen aller Art. Das Haus selbst ist groß, vollumfänglich ausgestattet, man hat auch den Hof und Nebengelasse zur Verfügung. Es ist nicht nur eine Ferienunterkunft, sondern ein komplettes Wohnhaus. WLAN ist in sehr guter Qualität vorhanden, ein PKW ist erforderlich. Besondere Besuchsziele sind ausreichend im Umkreis von 1 - 2 Fahrstunden vorhanden. Auch näher gibt es schöne Unternehmungen. Auch an Kinder ist bei der Ausstattung gedacht worden, sie können im Hof Kart fahren und auch die Tiere beobachten. Sehr empfehlenswert für einen echten irischen Urlaub!

Beautiful country home away from home.

Very neat, quaint, and charming home settled out in the country away from the busy life.We used this as home base to branch out and explore SE Ireland.Property owners live very nearby and popped over a couple times for pointers, quality assurance, and to answer any questions. The home is well kept and the grounds and amenities were great.

Everything you want the cottage to be.

From the minute we arrived Tom was there to make us feel welcome.His wealth of local knowledge is amazing and on several occasions he suggested excellent alternatives to trips we were planning.One evening he brought his friend Pat to fix a window and we spent a pleasant hour or so being entertained with singing!Tina keeps the house in perfect order and you want for nothing. One note of caution though. If Tom offers you Poitin be careful, it's potent stuff! We truly enjoyed our stay at the farm. It was a perfect location to stay to allow you to travel all over Southern Ireland. Also, we loved getting to know Tom and Tina during our time there. They made it feel like our home for the week! The house is clean and the country surrounding it is beautiful.

Quiet Country Farm House

If you like noisy, busy hotels, this place is not for you. Its quiet location is centrally located yet far enough away from city lights that spending evenings star gazing is great way to unwind after enjoying the day visiting all that Ireland has to offer. Our daughter loved the cozy bedroom loft at the top of the stairs. We found the bedrooms cool and the beds comfortable. The dining room is where most of our evenings were spent. The fireplace in that room heats up the whole house quickly. The fireplace in the living room is an excellent spot to roast some marshmallows and make S’mores. The washer and dryer are in a separate building so their noise won’t bother you while your clothes are getting clean. If the weather’s nice, you can hang the laundry out to dry and have everything smelling spring fresh. Thomas is fond of saying “Make our home your home while you’re away from home.” He means it. Thomas meets you at the house on your first day and gives you a tour of it all. He’s willing to make sure both fireplaces are fully stocked and ready to go, all you need to do is light a match and within minutes the fires are roaring. He was born here and is excellent as a local resource as to what to see and what to not waste your money on. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is tired of loud, busy hotels.

Great farmhouse in the country

We enjoyed our stay at Carrigmore. Plenty of room for us 5 having a girls trip. Spent our days traveling to spots around the country then coming home to make a nice dinner and get some sleep for the next day. Tom was a great host and attentive to all our needs.

Great place to spend your vacation

We have spent two weeks on the Carrigmore Farm and we really enjoyed it. It's silent and the best place ever to relax. It's located close to Tipperary and Limerick. The furniture is more than sufficient, Wi-Fi is perfect. Most important: Tom and Tina are very lovely hosts who really take care that nothing is missing. Tom has a lot of great recommendations of places that can be visited, or when live music is played in the pubs. We can only recommend to visit the Carrigmore Farm with their nice hosts.

Excelente!! Maravillosa casa. Superequipada. Hemos disfrutado en família de esta preciosa casa. Tom y Tina son unas excelentes personas, nos han cuidado, han estado pendientes de nosotros en todo momento, han sido muy generosos , son grandes personas. Nuestras hijas han disfrutado de todos los muchos juegos de la casa, de los buguies en el patio. Todo fenomenal. Un 10!
