The Oak Alley Plantation was fantastic. The staff at the Holiday Inn Express recommended a fantastic restaurant in downtown Donaldsonville. This restaurant served, by far, the best meal we had on out 2 week vacation.

"Nice clean hotel, absolutely loved the dining and breakfast that was included with our stay. I did wish the lobby wasn’t so full and loud during our dinner time and the pool wasn’t open due to chemical imbalances. I would however recommend and I will be coming back to stay."

"We were looking for a place off the beaten path to stay. We certainly found it in this cabin! It was very quiet at night and served our purposes well. The only negative thing l have to say is it was a lot smaller than l expected. I’m a fairly big guy and had an issue or two with space."

We stayed in Donaldsonville because of ease of access to the River Road to sight see and tour the plantations. Had a blast!!!

The area is under developed. The pizza hut doesnt deliver. They only thing to do there is leave.
