Upgraded free of charge which was a lovely surprise 🥰 young man who checked us in was so lovely polite and friendly 😊 We went for a meal elsewhere for my mums birthday and when we came back we visited the pub across the road which is also part of this family business and again the place was cute and clean with wonderful staff and locals. "We only stayed one night in a small double room at this property, but the room was quite adequate and the bathroom was especially wonderful--great shower, good lighting, recently remodeled. It is also located in a nice neighborhood, with several good restaurants and coffee shops close-by, and a reasonable walk (about a mile) to the Royal Mile."

"The owner was very helpful, and met us at the property, even though we were early. He responded well when we messaged him. The room was nothing fancy, but good value for the money. The main issue we had was location. It was right across the street from a bar, and since our room was right beside the street, it was a bit noisy outside and in as well, till things calmed down."

"Our stay at Menzie's was everything we wished for: nice and big rooms with all you need, good location (lots to explore around, but also good access to bus stations) and all of that for a very reasonable price. We really enjoyed our stay."
