"The host was very kind and helpful. The Barbican is located just outside the wall, which is brilliant, as inside the walls is quite noisy until very late. We would definitely stay here again! "

"Amazing stay. Very quiet area, staff are very nice, served breakfast was great each morning. Very close to city center in York. About a 10 min walk through the beautiful neighborhood. Would definitely stay again, highly recommend. "

10/10 Excellent

"Excellent staff- welcoming and professional with a very friendly attitude: couldn’t do more to help. Decided to change my booking to an Executive room which was more spacious and worth the difference. The hotel has a lovely ambience. Had some friends come round as part of birthday celebrations. Pool not available due to refurbishment but was told in advance & didn’t spoil our stay."
