  • This well appointed house is well equipped, in a quiet and peaceful location yet easily accessible. It enjoys panoramic views of the Cromarty Firth. Enjoy the Firth views directly from the house. Inverness is only a 20 minute drive.
    Enjoy beautiful walks through woodland to the Novar Estate crossing the Black Rock Gorge bridge and it's waterfall's. An attractive house set on its own, with beautiful natural garden and large woodlands. Excellent places to eat locally. Local shop 4 miles. Hotel/restaurant within 15 minute walk.
    Situated near a small village with the sea to our front and forests and hills to our rear, we are also close enough to places like Loch Ness, Royal Dornoch Golf Course, and an abundance of local whisky distilleries including The Glenmorangie.

The house was a delight. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. There was a lovely breeze blowing through the windows in the afternoon and evening, and the sun room was so welcoming. Plenty of space for my whole family. It was a calm and quiet place to end each day.

This property is absolutely gorgeous. You can spend your coffee mornings walking the gardens and find something new every time. I stayed a month and never tired of the view and surroundings. The house had everything we needed, the conservatory, aka sun room, was so relaxing!Hosts were so easy to communicate with and generously had a welcome basket of goodies waiting our arrival. Check out was so simple which is especially appreciated when traveling long distances with so many other things to plan for. Highly recommended.

The cottage was amazing, clean, so spacious and really well equipped. The cottage is private and in lovely grounds, we sat in the conservatory watched deer and a fox roaming, it was so relaxing. Would definitely return.

Fantastic Getaway

The conservatory and well-kept grounds are amazing, as is the well-stocked kitchen. A fantastic place for a family getaway.

This little beauty was the *perfect* space for some deep inner work and reflection in Scotland! The property was well stocked. The space so homey and it wrapped us up and took care of body, mind and spirit!

Lovely country getaway

Peaceful and beautiful place for a relaxing stay. We had a wedding to go to in Inverness and transit to and from there was very smooth. The family enjoyed the grounds and countryside walks. We had a good visit as a family.

Picturesque Cottage

A perfect holiday home

The house offers everything you need for a perfect holiday. It is in a quiet location, has a beautiful garden, is very well equipped and was very clean. The kitchen facilities also left nothing to be desired.We particularly enjoyed the conservatory. It was always pleasantly warm here and the view of the garden is simply fantastic.As we were travelling in an electric car, we were also very pleased to be able to charge the car on the property.

The cottage exceeded our expectations. The information we got and how we entered the cottage was easy. Very good communication with the owners.The facilities in the cottage was more than we had anticipated. Everything was accounted for so the comfort level was very high. Very beautiful surroundings and clean. If we go back on holidays in Scotland, we will definitely come back to Westlodge Cottage.

Absolutely fantastic place and stay. Really perfect and the host was very responsive!

We LOVED this place. They had everything you you could want. Great location on a quiet country road but close to A9 and great location for day trips! Host was fantastic. Very responsive. We had a fabulous restful time there. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants the Scottish Highlands experience!

Lovely House

We were in the area for salmon fishing on the River Alness. The house was lovely. Comfortable and cosy and all mod cons. I would highly recommend.

A comfortable haven from the busy world.

Its a lovely, well-equipped, quiet get away. We totally relaxed, ate well, slept well, and recharged our flagging batteries. Managed to master the pizza oven eventually which of was lots of fun and a great family activity in itself!

Wunderbares Ferienhaus

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Ferienhaus war gemütlich. Die technischen Geräte, besonders die Küche waren modern. Insgesamt war das Ferienhaus sehr gut ausgestattet. Auch der Außenbereich war wirklich schön. Es gab Platz und Lieblingsecken für alle. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Highland escape

Well located house with lots of outdoor space and beautiful views. Roland was an easily contactable host who made us feel very welcome. Fantastic base for exploring nearby countryside and villages - but also a comfy and relaxing place to spend time and unwind. We particularly enjoyed games in the garden and trying the pizza oven! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Amazing Home Base for Traveling the Highlands

This place was such a spectacular find. We used it as our base for traveling through the highlands and it was perfect. Amazingly well-stocked kitchen and such cool wildlife on the property!We saw the elusive pine marten while having a glass of wine in the sun room one evening and were so excited (didn't get a photo unfortunately)!With it being in a remote area, there are also quite a lot of spiders, which was hard for the arachnophobe in the group, so make sure if you stay to keep windows closed or only open the ones with screens, even for a minute.Highly recommend!

It was so perfect!

The house is even more beautiful in the suburbs than in the pictures. The kitchen and the garden are awesome. We would always come back. Price performance 10/10.

Wunderschönes Haus in angenehmer Lage

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in dem Haus, das keine Wünsche offen ließ. Sehr sauber, tolle Ausstattung, es war alles vorhanden, was wir brauchten. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war reibungslos und sehr freundlich. Besonders schön zum entspannen war der Wintergarten. Die Umgebung war sehr schön, ruhig und es bot viele Möglichkeiten für Ausflüge. Sehr empfehlenswert.

The property was amazing very cozy the conservatory was nice place to relax after a long day. It wasnt far from anything we had wanted. We felt bad about leaving some bottles in a box cause we didnt see a recycling bin for them. Until when we were leaving we had saw to leave at a plant which we had no idea where and no time to take. But other than that would recommend to anybody for a getaway 10/10.
