Location was ideal allowing easy walks to the Gettysburg circle, the battlefield and many options for dining / shopping. All appliances and supplied linens are top quality and the furnishings and decor provide an immediate feeling of home. Ideal location, close to battlefield auto tour and downtown tours and dining. I've already let friends who expressed an interest in visiting Gettysburg know that I can recommend this...

"Loved the home. The owner was quick to respond. Very spacious. We didn't have time to be outdoor but the front was cute with its firepit and chair. I don't know about the backyard there a huge from where we saw out the kitchen window. The supermarket, pharmacy,,gas station fast food was about 10 minutes away."

"Much older home with 2 bathrooms ,one on second floor and one on third floor . There was an awful smell coming from the tub on 3rd, floor. My son being a plumber said it was not vented properly. Bedrooms were all upstairs 2nd and 3rd floor, very comfortable beds and clean, Stairs were narrow and hard to climb for the older ones staying, especially just to go to bathroom. Only 1 parking space for property so any extra vehicles had to park elsewhere away from the house, We had to be dropped off...

"Very clean, charming and comfortable stay- for parents and three adult children and two small dogs. Stayed for son’s graduation from Penn State- Harrisburg. It is in a busy area but inside was private and location close to everything and perfect hangout for kids downstairs. Enjoyed outdoor space and fenced areas for dogs. Would definitely stay again and recommend!"

"This is our second rental of this property for our high school wrestling team traveling to Hershey for states. It is perfect for our group, always clean, and just as advertised. Great place to stay!"

"We greatly enjoyed being around nature and watching the horses! The plce was easy to get to. The owners are very nice—their house is a short distance from the property, but it still seemed private. It's quaint and small, perfect size for a couple. Be aware that the stairs to the sleeping area is steep with a dip in the roof at the top one needs to avoid. Lovely!"

"This home was very unique and filled with charm! We loved learning the history of Haines Shoes and the history of the Shoe House. We found the home to have all the comforts of home away from home. The home is decorated beautifully, very clean, the beds are comfortable, and the family room is wonderful for relaxing in the evening. We did not have time for the hot tub and fire pit but hope to the next time we visit."
