"Amazing!! It’s right at the top of funicular train from town, so easy to get to town or back from town. Plenty of parking if you drive and amazing, truly amazing views!! The hiking is top notch down to the Castle, recommend the funicular back up. Rooms are gorgeous, clean, simple, with warm and cozy bedding and towels. Hit the sauna for a very warm warm up. "

"The Boarding House Heidelberg is the perfect location for you to stay and explore the delightful city. The apartment was spacious with great decor, spotlessly clean, crisp white linen and a large comfortable bed. Only criticism would be the terrible pillows - suggest much better ones needed. The apartment also gives you a spacious bathroom with powerful shower and hairdryer. The small kitchen area is fully equipped with all you need to rustle up food, a fridge, kettle and coffee maker with very good supplied coffee bags, whitener and sugars. The room was very quiet with the windows closed but maybe noisier if they were needed to be open. The lovely lady on reception was very friendly and helpful. We were able to park our motorcycle in the underground parking. This place is a bargain price but offers so much, we would definitely recommend and stay here again. "

"This is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location. The rooms may not have the most modern amenities but they are comfortable and the view from my window was unbeatable. The service at the front desk was attentive and informative. Note that the hotel faces a very popular street and it can be loud with people until very late at night and again in the morning during trash pick up. The windows block most of the sound, but I prefer to have the fresh air with windows open. The one downside was the breakfast. Expedia said it would be free, but I was charged for it. Breakfast began at 8:00am, but when I went down at 8:30am the eggs were cold. The egs were also flavored like the bacon which is troubling when you are someone who does not eat pork. Go for the fantastic location and service. Don't go for the food. Americans should note that the hotel is not air conditioned. "

"This is a great place to stay to feel part of the old town in Heidelberg. Great views across the river. The restaurants and bars close at 10.30pm in the old town, so it’s not noisy at night time. It was very hot weather when I stayed and the room didn’t have aircon but I kept the windows open and fan on and slept well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Would be nice to have facilities to make hot drink in room. I’d definitely recommend this to friends and I’d stay again if I was in Heidelberg. Perfect location to explore. Easy to get the bus from outside the hotel to go back up to the train station etc"

"Great hotel, wonderful breakfast. A little bit further away from old town and main sights but this reflects in the price. Public transport only a few minutes away on foot and will take to main area in Heidelberg. "

"Hotel was great. Travelling for work and it is well located for business and leisure time. Gym is small but well equipped. Lovely restaurants nearby. Breakfast was good. "
