"Monica was the best, to start we wanted her to make us supper the 1st night but I got back to her late and she had already made plans to attend an olive oil festival at a hamlet a few miles from her Villa. She invited us to attend with her and it was the best way to start out our visit, when you watch tv and see Italy with everyone from the town eating together, it was exactly like that an 8 course meal with all the wine you could drink it was amazing. She was available for everything we needed a cab to Florence she hooked us up we needed a restaurant for supper she hooked us up the owner even came out to let us know we we’re eating Monica’s mozzarella from her cow!!!!! She will take care of everything if you need her to and as others have said in reviews we did have her make us a meal and it didn’t disappoint. If we make it back this way I would stay hear again. "In the title it’s listed as a hotel. It’s a room for rent in someone’s home. Not a bed and breakfast. Outside of the property it is filthy. Garbage, yard is not well kept. White plastic stained chairs. The flags that hang outside of the property are ripped and should be replaced. In my country it’s a disgrace to see a flag like that, The unit smells like mould. My throat and nose burnt from the smell. The inside of the unit is quaint but needs to be aired out. The bedroom sits on the side of a busy highway. All you hear are cars driving by "

"An excellent hotel big on service and nothing was ever too much trouble. Really central to the small village centre and also a walk into Fornoli was doable. Thank you for making our brief 3 night stay so enjoyable. Love your pool - just amazing and the breakfast was superb, thank you again. "

"The tranquility overlooking the valley from the terrace, the restaurant and the pool. Gorgeous Tuscan setting. Lovely old nunnery buildings. Be aware that the menu is limited and does not change day-to-day. Otherwise wonderful."

"We didn’t stay as it was disgracefully dirty and the owners didn’t care. Told us we hadn’t paid for a room with a view when we complained about looking out at brick wall and scaffolding. Said we could move rooms for additional €75 per night but this room was as bad as the first one. Advertised spa didn’t exist, Refused to refund us "

"Our room was really spacious, with air con, which we appreciated in the very hot weather. It was great to have free parking right outside the hotel. The staff are all super friendly and speak great English and service was of a really high standard. Dinner was really delicious with a welcome prosecco and amuse bouche and we enjoyed eating it on the terrace overlooking the river. The owner introduced himself and explained the renovations he had done to improve the hotel. The devil’s bridge is really cool and only a few kilometres away. I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel."

"The location and views were fantastic. We had an easy 20 min drive to Lucca each day. Perfect mix of peaceful vineyard and olive tree landscape with easy access to Lucca city restaurants and shopping. Owners and staff were wonderful. "

"This stay was idyllic and everything that was promised. Privacy, serenity and beautiful surroundings. Loads to do in the area and off the beaten track enough to have a sanctuary from tourism. Susan was the hostess with the mostess. Always there for suggestions, but never intruding. Her family are quintessential Italian and we loved hearing her grandchildren calling each other across the garden, hearing the neigh of the horses and next doors donkey in the distance. If you like some solitude with your surroundings this is the place for you. We will be back."
