Top Cities in Žilina

I was atop Mt. Chopok, in the Low Tatras Mountains. Chopok is at 2,024 m (6,640 ft) and is the 3rd highest peak of the Low Tatra Range. The views were truly breathtaking from there! Including the meteorological observatory tower covered in snow. But, most of my time in Slovakia was in the High Tatras. The mountains there are even bigger and more epic. I was based in the small city of Poprad and took trips every day. I was in Slovakia in September 2015, too. But this was my 1st time in winter! And with a good camera ;). I also had a wonderful time in Budapest, as well! My very 1st time there. But, while I spent most of my time in the High Tatras I loved being in the Low Tatras! The mountains were absolutely magnificent! And I came to Chopok at a perfect time of day :). I took this photo in March 2018.

"Very much a top luxury Hotel with priced accordingly. Staff and service excellent. Spa great for relaxing with Bar service and stunning views. Rooms luxurious and views either side of the Hotel stunning. The Hotel set on the beautiful Strba Tarn against a backdrop of stunning mountains. Great walks / hiking trails very worthwhile but note they are long and quite hard to hike (proper footwear essential). Highly recommended Hotel. Thank you for our stay."

"Stayed at Górski Pałacyk for few nights four adults and two teenagers. We had a great time. Property complex features few multistory houses with comfy apartments. We loved proximity to all attractions. Breakfast was delicious, large selection of food with menu change daily. Breakfast are served in a room with stunning view on Tatra Mountains. There is also jacuzzi and sauna which we used. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and well equipped. "

"Nice hotel in very good location if you using public transport. 5min from train station and ski slopes. Great choice of restaurants around. Breakfast was good for the price, just a shame that they don't have restaurant for the evening meal. Very nice and helpful staff, helped us to get a taxi to airport for 6 people."

"This was our second time at Maladinovo. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo with sauna. They have a fully equipped kitchen. Playground for kids and indoor playroom. The restaurant is amazing. "We spent 3 nights in the hotel. Beautiful lake view from the balcony of our room( we paid extra for one)Great location.Free parking. Very good breakfast. Quick check in. "The hotel is stunning and has very few things to point out. The service was excellent, breakfast on offer way above average continental. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and provided loccitane toiletries were a nice surprise. We were perhaps unlucky as the room/mezonet above our room had noisy guests and creaking floorboards which kept us up most night. We enjoyed the pool one evening, which was also lovely. "
