"Very dated property. Odd smell in room and the air was very noisy. Staff were all very nice and you could tell they take pride in their work. I believe our room was as clean as you could make an older property look."

"They scammed me out of my money and refused to refund me after I kindly asked for it back because I booked a non smoking room and the room smelled heavy and pungent like smoke. There was a cigarette burn hole in the blanket on my bed and there was a burned incense stick on the top of the door sill as if it was used by the staff to mask the cigarette smell. I went there to take my babies swimming and the website says the pool is open but when we went to go go swim, the front desk told us it was...

"Blythewood plantation is a wonderful historic mansion set in a small quaint excellent town. Lloyd met all of our needs, the room was clean, and all furnishings were correct for the time period that the home was built. The grounds were well maintained, we even got the pleasure of witnessing a gorgeous wedding during our stay!! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to step out of the hustle and bustle of modern times and take a trip to a much simpler day and time!!!!"

"The room was nice and the entire property was well maintained. The add said free breakfast. Coffee, pre packaged muffins and a banana is not a breakfast in the south. My room had a kitchenette but I had to argue with the front desk to get enough plates and silverware for my wife and I to eat without having to share. All in all not a bad place "
