"We were encouraged by a tour guide to book a multi-star resort hotel in the Center of Siracusa. But, our research persuaded us that a boutique hotel on the Island of Ortigia was more in line with our standards and preferences. The Algila Ortigia Charme Hotel both met and exceeded our expectations. Everything, including the Center of Siracusa was within walking distance. The morning breakfast was convenient and ample. The bar was a nice place for a nightcap and the whisky selection was...

"Keswan and the team here were not helpful at all in my booking. Highly recommend avoiding the headache of staying here. Refused to help me in altering my booking at all, even though I contacted them 5 minutes after making my booking (which was two weeks out...) Very unprofessional resort. Will not be coming back. Disappointing."

"Kamer net vernieuwd en alles in orde. Enkel kleine raam en zicht belemmerd door een boom zodat we niet konden genieten van terras en vanaf 16u licht in de kamer aandoen. Ondanks het meedelen bij de eerste dag van deze teleurstelling om van kamer te veranderen, is er niets gebeurd. Ontbijt kon beter : grote buffetten en personeel in 'automatische mode' zonder goedemorgen of andere.Zwembaden heel proper, zoals ganse site. Buffet 's avonds : in orde."

"The room was spacious, very clean, balcony was huge with a view over the front of the hotel. The staff were very friendly. Particularly the resteraunt staff. Veronica was very helpful with the menu and very courteous. The food was excellent both for breakfast & Dinner. A minor observation was that the power sockets in the room required a different adapter, not supplied , we had to loan from reception. Also there was no tea making facilities in the room , we had to ask for this from reception,...

Has nice roof terrace with comfortable sofas and see view. Good elevators. Convenient location on the east wall close to the bus stop connecting with the bus terminal (#106). We hope to come back."

The rooms are quiet without street noise and the staff were very helpful in organizing offsite, secure parking for our rental car.The room was missing a few amenities like a safe (there were instructions to use one), a few additional toiletries like body wash and conditioner, and an iron. Definitely add this one to your list of places to stay. "
