"The hotel itself was nice enough but we were very disappointed on arrival to find that the bar and the restaurant were both closed for reasons my Spanish was not good enough to understand. The promised restaurants in the village turned out to also be closed but we were eventually able to find some snacks at a bar. Having specifically booked a place with bar and restaurant it is very annoying to have to traipse around finding something to eat after a day's travelling. "

"Let’s just say they did a very good job with the marketing photos, but the reality is quite different. Please be careful if you are choosing this specifically for the spa as it has restrictive hours, and extra cost, and the facilities are overcrowded and not like the photos. There is an ugly industrial complex right next to it, it shares a lot with a gas station and mediocre typical restaurant. Nothing else nearby. "It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the bed was very comfortable. Evening meals were standard but we both had cheese omelette and chips, which were delicious. Our two small dogs enjoyed the room as well. One small downside is that the GPS took us down some country lanes, some unmade, whereas there was a much more direct route. Not the fault of the owners though."
