"You get what you pay for. The rooms were alright, the beds were alright. Overall, it was average. It was cheap and id stay there again. It wasn’t anything special, just a warm room and a roof. The checking in process in the lobby was automated and I thought that was pretty cool though"

"Bathroom sink faucet leaked terribly, to the point that it flooded the floor. The tub's paint was peeling and there was no bath soap in the bathroom. Very shady neighborhood, didn't feel safe in the parking lot or the lobby."

Main house: The property was not as expected. Three floors, no bedrooms on main floor. AC only worked on first floor, so the third floor became unbearable by the end of the day… couldn’t sleep up there (had to sleep on couch). Front door jam is loose and probably insecure. Living room TV had no clicker for volume...

"Perfect spot for me to spend time with my sailor stationed in Norfolk. He was able to stay a few days and it was perfect with his own bedroom and en suite. Host was wonderful and responded quickly. Would definitely come back. "

There is a lot of space and plenty of extra blankets, pillows, etc. I was a bit disappointed in the (lack of) cleanliness and a few of the lights and main living room TV not working (we suspected that it could just be a faulty extension cord) given the price of our stay, but I would consider staying there again if traveling in this area. "This is a wonderful property that will comfortably sleep 4-5. The house is very clean and very well stocked with linens, kitchen supplies, etc. The beds were obviously newer and very comfortable! The neighborhood is very quiet and friendly. There are grocery stores, fast food, restaurants, and anything you might need within a 5-10 min drive from the house. We stayed here while attending two shows at the Portsmouth Pavilion. The location was perfect. Easy 10 minute drive to the pavilion. ...

"Little too cold for swimming but the pool was beautiful. House was very clean and comfortable. We had 8 staying and we didn’t feel on top of each other. One of our party left her jewelry behind but the owner was great and arrangements where made to get them back to her. Would definitely stay again!"

Price per night was a lot cheaper if we had an extra night (3 instead of 2).Other than that the property has all amenities we required the beds were very comfortable. "Scrupulously clean but smaller than expected and more an air b&b than a VRBO. It was in an older neighborhood and not at all luxurious which is why we always use VRBO. Parking for two cars was also difficult. Finally the host was VERY slow to respond and not at all friendly. He did not provide access instructions until check in time. We also had to ask separately for the WiFi information. We will not stay there again. "
