This viewpoint is from the descent of Sgairneach Mhor a couple of months ago, before the snow set in. Access was from the Drumochter Pass on the A9, just south of Dalwhinnie. I love looking back on this shot because it captures, for me, the sense of endless opportunity for wandering that the Scottish Highlands offers.

"The hotel is in need of refurbishment to say the least the bar area was disgusting seats broken only bottles as pumps not working and dirty glasses infact the hotel should be condemned. The only saving grace was the staff and the breakfast the staff were polite,friendly and helpful especially Annie who made breakfast service a pleasure. Disappointing that hotels.com have this on there web site as im sure if they sent an inspector they would not recommend this hotel I for one will not be...
