"The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!"

"A group of men were outside my door at 1 30 am cussing and being very loud. Sounded like a street gang. Hotels that give out housing vouchers I am sad to say are the worst places to stay, there is a reason those people needed a voucher. Stay elsewhere."

There were stains on the bed and walls, the bathtub was filthy, and the floors were buckled from what appeared to be water damage\. It was a horrible experience. We did not stay at the property because of the conditions\. We immediately requested a refund, but have not received a response yet\. We had to find another place to stay at our own expense. I would not recommend this property to anyone."

"It would be nice if real people left real reviews. This property is located in a small town with under 5 hotel businesses. I traveled 14 hours for a family members funeral and was very disappointed upon arrival to this facility. It was infested with bugs. The clerk at the desk kept saying I can give you another room as if bugs don't travel. I asked the desk clerk to cancel my reservation and he refused. I did not stay here and was charged for the reservation even after trying to cancel the...
