"It's a beautiful environment in an urban setting, Leiden city is easy to reach, as is other shopping and the beach. Especially at these prices, however, I feel check out at 10 am is ridiculous. Also, I expect a pitch dark room when sleeping and enough light during the day. Wifi was wobbly. Staff is friendly. Price/quality just wasn't too great, although in all honesty I had 3 bookings in a row with very different prices. The restaurant has very nice food but quantities are small."

Unfortunately, the positives largely ended there. The upstairs areas felt tired, dated and in need of refurbishment. In my opinion, they were more reminiscent of a budget hotel than the standard suggested by the hotel's marketing and pricing. On arrival, I also found the attitude of the two receptionists...

"Great location at a stonesthrow from The Hague and Scheveningen. Friendly and helpful staff, free parking and large rooms."

"Wir würden es für den Preis, nicht nochmal buchen. Außen HUI innen leider…. Unser Fenster zur Straße hin war undicht und es war extrem laut und nass auf der Fensterbank. Badezimmer und Service waren top. Der Zustand des Hotels aber leider eher nicht."
