"If you’re in Galax, VA, this is the place to stay for walkable access to local hiking and downtown. I stopped into town to visit a parent in the local nursing home and it was an easy walk. The place was clean, fresh, and thoughtful with modern finishes like outlets near the bed to charge with ease. Only issue I faced was low water pressure in the shower. Otherwise, I enjoyed a cup of coffee on the front deck in the morning overlooking the hills, slept comfortably, and appreciated the snacks....

We had 7 adults and 2 kids under the age of 13 and the house was perfect for us - lots of bed space and a large TV room where we could gather to play board games while college football rivalry weekend games aired in the background. "This is a very nice property -in a great location - clean & spacious (lots of room to spread out) with beautiful views. We would definitely stay here again!Our hostess was just great - attentive, helpful - she told us to CALL her anytime with questions. Overall we feel that this house was one of the nicest VRBO’s that we have stayed in - definitely would rate it an A."

"Breakfast was over at 9:30. That was too early for us. Also there was a loud roaring noise that sounded like it was coming from behind the wall in our bathroom. We had to keep the bathroom door closed which kept the air conditioner from cooling it. Other than those 2 things, everything else was fine."

"The room was clean, but the air conditioner shut off in the middle of the night and the room got warm. The front desk reception did not tell us what time the continental breakfast opened. When we went to the breakfast in the lobby at 6:25 am....nothing was made or even out....not even hit water for tea. Disappointed."
