"The hotel is close the Leeuwarden railway station so very convenient if arriving by train. It’s a largish hotel, staff are pleasant and helpful. If staying more than one night they don’t service the room unless you ask. There are lots of restaurants nearby. Breakfast at the hotel is good."

"Prachtige lokatie op een prachtige plek. Helaas kregen we de toegangscode pas na telefonisch verzoek en niet spontaan na het indienen van alle gegevens. Ook vonden we de toonzetting van het “zero tolerance” formulier op tafel erg onvriendelijk. Dat schade zal worden hersteld op kosten van de veroorzaker begrijpen we, maar dat kan ook vriendelijk worden verwoord. Verder hebben we genoten van de fantastische lokatie. "

"We stayed eight nights during which we were joined by another couple for four nights The apartment provides more than adequate private and shared space decorated in a bohemian nautical style with proviso that, being Dutch, it all works! We used the balcony most days and the local bar restaurant four times. Recommend Catharina is extremely helpful. We arrived on a Sunday after a week on road and she laid up some things to get us through Monday morning. She kindly did a load of washing to get us...

"Wonderful hotel on the canal. Rooms over a restaurant (but make reservations for the restaurat). Short walk toi the historic center of Franker, plenty of excellent restuarats in the square and surrounding streets. Older property but wih modern ammenities. Free parking a few blocks away. Wonderful breakfast."
