"The hotel is close the Leeuwarden railway station so very convenient if arriving by train. It’s a largish hotel, staff are pleasant and helpful. If staying more than one night they don’t service the room unless you ask. There are lots of restaurants nearby. Breakfast at the hotel is good."

"This was our first time at the hotel as we were visiting the area due to a friends wedding. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and always very helpful, specially when we had an issue with the charging point for our car. They were able to fix it and did it always being so polite and friendly. The breakfast is very good, with a lot of choice/options. "Really liked many aspects of this hotel. I was there in the winter for a visit to one of the many yards that calls Makkum home. Restaurant and service was two highlights and the view from the room was great. Bed and bedding, not so much, the team would need to switch things up for me to sleep well with both feeling dated and bedding not fitting well to the bed. "

"Staff and Service really nice and helpful, considering the challenging circumstances after the COVID-19 lockdown, however..., The rooms are in real need for a facelift to appeal and provide the comfort to meet todays standards. The breakfast area/bar could also get a more 'homely' feel and touch as it new looks more like a corporate canteen. The whole experience especially the breakfast procedures felt more like a hospital visit than having a nice 'breakfast with the family'... but we do...
