"This hotel is lovely for what it is. Really cosy vibes throughout. Lake views out of the back of the hotel with mountain views to the front. The room was basic but completely expected given the star rating of the hotel. It was functional, spacious and comfortable. Staff were all friendly. Bar area was lovely with option to sit outside. Quite a selection available at self service breakast. We were able to walk into town from this hotel easily for dinner options. And you can get to the lake...

"We had a seaside view room with shared bathroom and kitchen that were clean and well maintained. Very close to the nesting puffins that we enjoyed immensely. "

"Loved the lobby or seen that was available for guest. Honor bar with free coffee, hot chocolate, and tea! Games and books to use during stay. Great area to relax!"

"Nicely decorated rooms, great hot tub and sauna for guest use, and nice lounge/bar space. The room itself was great, with good blackout blinds and a comfortable memory foam mattress. The bathroom was a bit of a letdown, however. It's large, which is great, but the towel hooks were barely holding into the wall and have already been "fixed" before, with exposed signs of poor repair. Beyond that, the counterspace around the sink is really tight, for how much room is available. Perhaps a shelf...

"There are not many dining options around the property. But they have an in-property restaurant. The staff was friendly and were really flexible to help with the late check-in. The breakfast was really good. The entire property was really clean. Would stay again! "

"Gentleman at front desk reception was wonderful, the staff in the restaurant/bar for both dinner and breakfast were cold and unfriendly. Wonderful view of the fjord right on the water, however be aware that there is a fish factory and at times the smell is extremely strong. Loved our clean and comfortable room."

"Cute little apartment. Close to food. Offered some yummy oatmeal chocolate cookies. Middle of the night the drain pipe fell off the bathroom sink. Looked quite plugged (yuck). Only sink so was interesting getting ready the next morning. Tried to call office twice with no answer."

"This property is very remote but a great option to break up a long drive between Myvatn and the east coast towns. Lots of different buildings for overnighters with a restaurant on site. Beautiful scenery and so peaceful. "
