An example is the bar that opened at random times during the week and the staff did not know anything about it. We booked a room with breakfast and access to spa. "Loved the room and hotel location; our first time in Madrid and it was a great place to stay and start the day. Hotel was being renovated so the access was not easy but the staff were very helpful. They also spoke good English and gave helpful tips. Room size was big with a good view. Bathroom fittings are a little dated but all very functional. Definitely would stay there again. "
