"We arrived on Christmas Eve after a 7hr taxi journey, we were greeted with a welcome drink and very friendly staff. Once escorted to our room which had an amazing view of the ocean, we discovered that the lock on our door was held on with gaffer tape and the barrel could be pushed out with your finger. "We loved staying at Mihin villa with Mahinda and his family. We were initially booked for 2 nights but extended our stay to 4. Really comfortable room, big bathroom with hot water. Beautiful
"Beautiful Geoffrey Bowa- designed boutique hotel set in a beautifully tended garden. This is our second stay & it didnt disappoint. The staff remembered us after 4 years! Very good service, excellent breakfasts & evening meal. There is a train line running along the bottom of the garden and the train clanks along it every hour or so. We loved the quirkiness of it. Its a gorgeous, peaceful sanctuary. Beautiful beach is just over the railway line. There are bars along the beach to the left for a lunchtime wander & food, and also great places to eat along the beach to the right in Bentota (or short tuk-tuk ride). I would happily come back here anytime!"
