The shower curtain had no liner and leaked. Again had to wait for staff and replace it myself as there was not Maintence staff. Again, no liner. "Front desk staff very welcoming and efficient. Some renovations done but not always completed. Didn’t care for long term residents that congregate in hallway for chats. Housekeeping overlooked some cleaning duties. Washcloths were stained. Exhaust fan in bathroom was filthy."

"When I arrived , they did not have a room reserved for me despite my reservation six weeks ago. They claimed Expedia did not notify them. I had to drive 15 miles to another hotel owned by the same person where I stayed."

"The remodelled section is lovely. The staff honest and helpful with understanding the hours for local shops and stops. The lack of available food in the vending machines sounds silly but the entire town closes up at or before dark so plan for truckstop gas station food or grab something at a drive thru just before they close up."

"It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin.The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter. "The property was sweet. Loved the pond in the back and the white goose. There are 4 wheeler trails nearby so want to make another visit to explore. There is a great restaurant around the corner too that was excellent. Good food great prices. Overall a great place to get away."
