"Great family place, relaxing, fairly quiet in early May. Nice pools, hot springs very hot to hot to warm as they cascade down terrace. Sauna was hot as well, great shower booths around pool. Breakfast buffet included was awesome and reasonable priced dinners delicious with incredible view of volcano if you sit on edge of open restaurant (no AC but was ok in am and dinner with fans). "The property was wonderful. It’s located in downtown La fortuna so all restaurants and shops are a short walk. It was quiet and the rooms comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The added perk was they gave you complimentary access to the volcano lodge hot springs which we enjoyed. Parking was easy and the staff was friendly. I would recommend staying here"

"If anything, the name of this hotel ('pretty view') undersells it by a long shot! On a clear day you can see the sun rise over the volcano from your balcony and the view extends to the left over all of Lake Arenal. Stunning. My mouth literally dropped open when we entered our room and the big pane window was filled with a clear view of the volcano (we were lucky to arrive on a really great visibility day!)
