"Be aware that the hotel reception close down at 19:00 and if you haven’t checked-in by then you have to find another place to stay. I travel a lot but rarely see this rigid routine. Normally there is an option to collect your key in a coded box or something after the reception is closed. But okay, fair enough, it’s my mistake to not follow these rules.

First is that housekeeping should NOT be trying to get in my room at 8am, that’s way too early considering that checkout is at 12 noon.
