"It was cheap, which is what we were needing for this year to go to amish country. The towels and wash clothes are old and worn out and rough , but we knew from a few years ago when we had to stay here before so we brought our own, no hair dryer, no coffee maker, no drinking cups to use for brushing teeth. There is several negatives but it was clean, cheap and better than sleeping in a tent. Would I stay again? Depends on our finances. We have stayed at several hotels and log cabins over the years there around Berlin to dover ohio, this is definitely the worst but it was what we could afford so yes I would stay there again and have done so before. We got to stay here for 3 nights for what 1 night at many of the other places, just without alot of extras."

"Upon checking in, our tub had standing water in it with a constant drip from the faucet. The front desk attendant immediately assigned us another room, which was much appreciated. Room was clean and the pool and hot tub were nice."

Historic Cabin On 300 Acre Farm In Amish Country

"This place exceeded my expectations! It was absolutely stunning pulling up to it and the barn next door. The house was stocked with everything we needed plus extras (the muffins were to die for!!!) We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet, listening to the cicadas and birds. It was exactly the relaxing, unplugged getaway we were looking for. Doug and Jenn were amazing hosts and called to make sure we were okay and if we needed anything — they even called on the day we left to check in with us as well. Jenn was so nice! I think our most favorite part (aside from historical feel and look to the place) was the 3 kitties that came for daily visits with us on the porch! We loved that so much. We are already planning our next trip back! Can’t wait to try this place out in the Fall when the leaves change, I’m sure it’ll be even more stunning than it already is. HIGHLY recommend staying here (especially if you’re a history buff like us)!"
Farmhouse on 300 acres with 2 lakes near the heart of Amish Country

"We met Doug. He was a wonderful host. He made sure we had enough firewood and made sure we felt at home. Jenn left us some wonderful muffins and fruit. Everything was perfect. The views are amazing and is very private. Even though it's in the country, it's still so close to everything. We went to the market and little Switzerland. There's so much to do we are planning a second trip. It's a great place to stay."
Cottage type private house in quiet neighborhood

"This was an old home built in early 1939's - so almost 100! And because it is old, there are very steep stairs going up to bedroom. And for older folks, it's really not a good match. We had to come down sideways, holding tightly to the banister. There wasn't a handrail on wall side which would have helped. And the steps from back porch going down to the backyard were also narrow & at different heights which made them difficult as well taking our dog out, especially when it rained & they were wet! But over all the house was very clean & had comfortable beds. And only having the bathroom upstairs by bedroom was a little inconvenient. Maybe for young people, it woyld work fine, but for those in our mid-late 70's, not so much. The hosts were very nice as was next door neighbor. They could improve on their supplies better by having name brand detergents, soaps & paper goods. Most were from the dollar store."
