The pretty town of Ruthin is well worth a visit, with its streets of individual shops and cafés which seem to tumble down the hill from St Peter’s Square. The Llangollen Railway is also well worth a visit – take a nostalgic trip on a steam hauled train along the Dee Valley to the little town of Corwen. If it’s beaches you’re after, then you’ll find some lovely sandy ones along the North Wales coast, whilst the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno, and the beautiful National Trust garden at Bodnant are easily accessible, as is picturesque Betws-y-Coed, the Gateway to the Snowdonia National Park, and also home to Zip World Fforest, an adrenaline junkie’s delight! Spent a lovely weekend in the cottage, which is well-equipped and a perfect size for a small family such as ours (2 adults + 2 small kids). Highly recommended.

Fantastic cottage, everything we needed and more. Lovely welcome from Jill, fresh flowers and lots of extras. Spotlessly clean and fabulous views over the valley and to the hills beyond. Cosy and warm, we really can't fault this property or the owners.

This is a beautiful cottage with stunning views. The lady that owns the cottage is very friendly and welcoming, she also supplied us with the essentials of tea, coffee, bread, milk and more. It is close to many beautiful places to go. We loved staying here and would come back in the future
