sorry, better skip this one

Maybe I was expecting much better and got disappointed but I stayed in Raddison blue the week prior and for a little extra I rather to star there. No water coming out of shower and the water was not hit; I actually had to ask to raise the water temp for the hotel. Now that is sad! The shower door would not close so I woukd end up with water on floor. The bed was ok though. They remodeled an old hotel. Mostly the lobby and restaurant area which was overly priced. Wifi is not included either

very satisfied!

we stayed at Clarion for one night and it was very comfortable. Check in was very smooth and room service was excellent. We asked for some scissors at 3 in the night and got it in 5 mins. Overall will recommend this hotel. We had lunch at the restaurant and were very impressed. Thanks to the staff for making our stay very pleasant.

Stay away from the Hiatus restaurant

The hotel is quiet and comfortable. Breakfast service is good and the waiters will take an extra effort to make you items that might not even be on the buffet. However, stay away from the Hiatus restaurant in the hotel. Food is terrible, expensive and the service is really bad. After repeatedly complaining to the manager there, he did not even care to apologize to us.

En línea reservé una habitación para 3 personas y cuando llegué allá me dijeron que era para 2 y había un costo adicional para la tercera persona. De igual manera la descripción en línea mencionaba que había un business center para uso de internet, computadoras, etc. El mismo no existía y lo que había era una computadora en el lobby para estos fines que de ninguna manera estaba adecuada a las necesidades de un business center, el cual afortunadamente no tuve la necesidad de utilizar. El personal también puede practicar ser mas cortés. Lo que si es excelente es la oferta gastronómica.

1. Room is reserved while checking-in and an hour it tooks to get a room 2. Room conditions are not as booked( king size bed turns into two single beds during first night) 3. Water is not hot enough

Short stay in hotel

Our stay was okay. I can't really give a full review since we only stayed here for a few hours just to sleep. The room was nice and the bed was good. However, when we checked out, the receptionist said that we consumed something from the minibar, but we did not. So next time, they should make sure that they replenish the minibar before a new guest arrives so that the new guest won't be charged/questioned for the missing minibar items.

Booked the hotel for a friend. Probably the worst hotel in New Delhi in terms of service and upkeep. All new Trainees at reception and room service from small towns in India like Barielly, who did not know the hotel's own systems. The senior management was not willing to take any call. They even refused to acknowledge hotel.com booking initially. Standard Rooms were stinking so paid more for a club room at the reception. Again the lighting in the room was all white, reminding it of a hospital room instead of a hotel room.

Fine - After Some Effort

We stayed in a Club Room - their most expensive room. The room we were allocated was sub standard to put it mildly. The bathroom door didn't close leaving a 6" gap and the window blind on the window between the bedroom and bathroom was transparent. The room was dark and gloomy probably due to the fact that the balcony doors overlooked the side of another building about 2 metres away. After complaining we were moved to another Club Room which was chalk and cheese with their first offering - very nice room. Why allocate a poor room when there is a far superior option available?? That apart the hotel is fine. The pool and grounds good, The Hiatus has a lovely courtyard area for dining in and the immediate area good.

Restaurants are good but very expensive. Buffet breakfast is quite bad, very less choices and tasteless food. Advantage: rooms are spacious and bright although not plush. Overall decent place in case u have work that side of the city otherwise nothing great to look forward to.

Great pool!

Because our return flight was out of New Delhi, a friend and I spent 2 nights on our way back to the US after traveling in other parts of India. We were looking for a clean, comfortable hotel with all modern conveniences and a good pool, and the Clarion Collection met our expectations. The complimentary breakfast buffet was very nice, and the room, while a bit small, was quite comfortable. Some of the public areas of the hotel, particularly the rugs, were a bit worn, but overall it was a very good experience, especially after we figured out how to get to the Hauz Kaus metro station, which is a 15-minute taxi or tuk-tuk ride away and will get you to old Delhi or Connaught Place in 15 minutes underground, so you don't have to worry about the notorious Delhi traffic. And the pool was really great--dark blue tile and large enough to really swim laps in.

Good deal for the money

Hotel facilities get worn down more everytime I get there. But still all fine given the money and the fact that it is Delhi. The restaurant prepares wonderful Turkish/Middle East food. Breakfast buffet is great and provides all you need. Seating is uncomfortable though. Garden with pool is nice. Wouldnt book it again on Friday/Saturday as they turn the restaurant into a Salsa bar. Loud music until 1:30 am. Personnel quite helpful. Allowed late checkout and send invoice by email upon request. Close distance to airport, 20 min by cab.

Reservation policy is not customer friendly

I was told at the time of booking that the reservation can be cancelled. I wanted to cancel my 2nd night stay (keep the first night). The hotel refused to do that and said the entire reservation is non cancellable and non refundable....this is not a typical hotels reservation policy...any hotel keeps the reservation fee for only first night of stay in case the cancellation is on the day of check in.

Rooms are comfortable. F&B Options are limited, however quality of available food was very good. In-Room dining service overall was good however could improve - we got dusty plates once. Housekeeping staff member was very proactive. Middle Eastern food at Zerzura was above Par. The Hotel staff were helpful overall, but a smile on their face could have enhanced the interaction.

A very good deal for Delhi

Though this hotel must be quite old now (formely it was the Qutub) it is very good maintained, not too big and the rooms are very clean. Compared to other hotels of the same quality in delhi, you really get a good deal here. The location of the hotel is good (close to IIT Delhi), 30 min by Taxi from the airport. The hotel staff orders local taxis for you, not like other hotels who charge you four times the price for a taxi. (The taxi fare to the airport is Rs 400, which means that I already pay more than double that aount when I get into the taxi in Oslo;-) The breakfast buffet is quite nice (more Indian style though) and the breakfast room quite cosy with a nice garden. I can only recommend this hotel, stayed there twice in teh last 2 years and the standard has not changed.
