The James Hotel Rotterdam

"Overall the room was quiet, clean and nicely presented, however it was a bit dark and awkwardly shaped with little room at the foot of the bed due to the odd shape of our particular room (1807). The James is ideally located in the centre of Rotterdam and is walkable from the railway station. Overall good value and would recommend to others."

"During our stay we never had any issues over availability of parking spaces with all vehicles in clear sight of Reception. Breakfast was substantial and plentiful with lots of warm and cold options. Staff were always extremely friendly and helpful. On the one rainy day during our stay, staff offered us the use of Hotel Umbrellas. We never heard anyone in neighbouring rooms as the sound insulation was excellent."

"Room Mate Bruno is an excellent choice for anyone leaving on a cruise from Rotterdam. It is a one minute walk to the cruise terminal and three minutes from the metro station. The room was very quiet and my husband enjoyed the buffet breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel."

"We had a very nice stay at the hotel and I would absolutely recommend it. It is located in an ideal spot in the city close to the train station and most tourist attractions with Depot and Sonnevelde House literally next door. The staff were extremely helpful when we had a few requests and were a credit to the hotel. My only small gripe is that there aren’t enough staff on at breakfast so certain options would run out quite often. The staff were rushed off their feet and still extremely helpful but they need more help. Overall I highly recommend the hotel and would definitely stay again if we visit Rotterdam."
