We enjoyed cooking on the grill with the breathtaking views from our front porch. It is in a great location with many tons a short drive away. "If you are headed towards the Snæfellsnes peninsula or Westfjords of Iceland, this is a MUST overnight stop. Truly remarkable experience, words can’t even explain how fantastic this place is. The view is beautiful, it is remote - almost otherworldly. The unit (lodge) is brand new, immaculate, the windows are insane. Has all the amenities you need too. Esther and Pierre have done a remarkable job. It is a “bucket list” stay, 1000 percent."

"Sightseeing in the area. The couple that own/run the property are lovely, and very helpful. They have a picturesque hot spring adjacent to them that is for guest use. Views from hotel are amazing in all directions! Breakfast included was key!"

"We stayed for about a week over New Year's Eve and this was a great place! I would definitely stay here again and I would suggest this home to anyone. Very clean. Very cosy and warm. Nice showers. Four good sized bedrooms. Board games. The house just has a friendly vibe to it. It made me smile when we walked inside.The hot tub is delightful in the winter (but the snow is really cold on your feet when you get out! Bring flip flops.). The kitchen is well stocked and even had a few spices and cooking oil. We didn't eat at any restaurants.The location is great! It is within walking distance of both the harbor and the Bonus Grocery Store. The town was cloudy every night, so we drove about 30 minutes out of town into clear skies to see the northern lights. The Northern Lights were all around us in 360 degrees and shimmered in green and pink/red fingers of light.The road to the town was pretty well passable and the location was reasonable for winter. I don't recommend driving from Reykjavik at 11-1am in blowing snow, but we did it! The studded snow tires and the reflectors along the road made it possible. The fireworks on New Year's Eve were unbelievable. I've never seen a display like that in my life. It seemed like the entire block was setting off the best display I could imagine and it lasted for 45 minutes.The host is really quick about answering questions through this app. He was very helpful and friendly.Five stars! Excellent place! "
