"The bedding and towels were clean as were the toilet and sink. The room itself was very dirty with dirt and grime all over the walls and along the floor boards. The phone was covered in grime. When we plugged in our chargers, they either simply fell out of the wall socket or sparked when put into the plug. Numerous sockets could not be used at all including all of the ones directly by the bed. The lamp near the bed didn't turn on at all. The staff was friendly but odd. It appeared that they live there and multiple of them were hanging out in the lobby when not working. We had some issues with keys suddenly not working. They resolved it but it took some time and the entire issue was due to things the staff had done. The breakfast was not exactly what I would call continental. The "quality" in Quality hotels was simply not there. I would not return to this hotel if at all possible in the future."

"The sleeping arrangements were not as advertised. One room with bunks was not accessible. I was never told this. The day before check in I happened to read a review which was recent that indicated this. I had to reach out to the owner who confirmed this and did offer a refund. I could not change my plans though on such short notice. Our family had to “make it work”. The house was filthy. It had not had a thorough cleaning for some time. Grease and grime all over the kitchen, dirty refrigerator, stove, oven and dish storage. There were what I believe to be pet urine stains on one of kitchen mats. Dust and cobwebs everywhere and dead insects in the light fixtures. The vents were all dusty. The pool was being shocked and couldn’t be used. I was told this before and it was not an issue, however the hot tub was rusty and dirty and I would not have used it. This was a shame because we had expected to. The bathroom toilets were dirty.The bedding had stains on the comforters and the bedroom carpets were dirty as well. There are recently laid floor boards in the family room with dozens of old nails heads sticking up which can really injure your feet if barefoot. We only stayed because we had tickets to a Pirates game. I live 5 hours away and I had senior citizens with me, so making other arrangements would have been difficult and costly. I would not stay here again."

"I've stayed in this hotel twice in the last three months. Initially, I liked it. It seemed to be the Cinderella option: there are more expensive hotels around, and less expensive hotels. Generally, it seemed, you got what you paid for: this hotel wasn't quite as nice as the more expensive options, and a little beat up in places, but the room, the bedding and towels were clean and comfortable; the breakfast was good and substantial; the staff was friendly and present. So, why am I not giving this place five stars across the board? Well, like I said: I expected to get what I paid for. The hotel advertised that they had an exercise room available. That was one of the reasons I chose this hotel, and not some of the less expensive options nearby. Well, when I stayed there two months ago, I noticed that the equipment was broken. The stationary bicycle didn't work at all - it wouldn't turn on, and despite looking around for a few minutes, I couldn't figure out why (it was plugged in). The treadmill did work, but was set in French (so the speed settings were in kilometers instead of miles). I did a modified workout, and pointed these things out to the lady at the front desk when I checked out. She made a note. Two months later, I came back, and nothing was changed: not even a note on the bicycle saying "out of order." I still like the hotel, but the exercise room was the reason I chose it over another. The cleanliness was also a little less than before. I'm not sure I'll be back."

"The room set up was nice. Had a lil trouble with the mini fridge but the staff quickly took care of it. Did not receive daily maid service/ don't know why. The bed was comfy. The breakfast was good! They kept up on restocking low/out of items, so it was all fresh."

"This house was conveniently located because it was on the way to the start of our Great Alleghany Passage bike ride in Pittsburgh.Dawn communicated with us everything we needed to know and was an exceptional host.The house was clean and our sleeping accommodations were perfect.There was a small discrepancy with the Vrbo pricing for extra guests that we discussed in advance and agreed to pay for, so it is recommended that you discuss this at the time of booking this property to avoid any surprises. Even with the added cost, the price for this property in this area could not be beat!I highly recommend reserving this Vrbo property."

The bonfire pit and hot tub were major hits! Jamie addressed questions and concerns quickly and effectively, I'd highly recommend staying here!"
