"The air conditioning turned out to be a small window unit in the dining room. During July it was not adequate and the cabin temp rose into the 80’s in the afternoon and most of the evening. The fans in the bedrooms were old and trying to run them on high was an issue to them being out of balance. Lots of noise on high. It was actually cooler outside. The fire pit was great and there is fishing out the back door. I didn’t have any luck but maybe that was just my skill level. Our float trips produced lots of large Brown’s. I stayed for 2 weeks so I had a good taste of the fishing out back. Other than that it is a great place. I would recommend any month except July and August."
Dearborn River Log Cabin with 3/4 mi River Frontage & 72 Acres to Roam
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay at this quaint, quiet and off-grid cabin. Everything was perfect from the beauty of the location to the comfort of the cabin! The host and manager communicated well leading up to our stay, and upon arrival thoroughly explained how the cabin worked. Everything in the cabin worked well, so we didn't have need to contact them during our stay and check out was easy! The neighbor's (although we only drove past a couple of them our entire stay) waved & were friendly. This is an amazing gem of a place for those who desire to get away from it all! Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven."
"This suite on the Missouri river is extremely well equipped. The beauty of the river and the surrounding area from inside the suite and on the deck is amazing! The black cat (Merlin) greeted me every time I was out on the deck! I would stay here again."
Trout Tales Lodge, Dearborn River front, blue ribbon fishing. Cascade, Craig MT.
10/10 Excellent
"Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Trout Tales. Susan was a great host. The cabin had everything we needed and was generously stocked with paper products. The property is amazing. We spent hours just watching the wildlife. Although we only caught one fish, the river was peaceful and very floatable, especially if you shuttle your vehicle. We would definitely choose Trout Tales again!"
Life is Good Lodge Montana on Gary Cooper Ranch at Dearborn River
8/10 Good
"This is a great place to stay - it has lots of amenities and lies right on the Dearborn River. It has not been renovated in quite a while, so it feels a bit dated. Make sure to bring soap, shampoo, TP and paper towels - they do not seem to have sufficient supplies. Love staying there - just be prepared."
Near Stickney Creek boat launch-2 bedroom, 2 full bath house with private pond.
10/10 Excellent
"Firstly we’d like to thank Casey for being an excellent communicator. He is quick to respond, and thorough. The house rules are simple and clear. It is well appointed from the kitchen to the linens. All of the furniture is very comfortable. There is plenty of storage throughout the house if you don’t enjoy living out of a suitcase. The location is perfect -it’s close enough to Craig to enjoy what’s there, but far enough to feel somewhat isolated from town. Our group of 4 was happy to have this as our home base for a week of fishing!"
