I can't believe how cool DeLand is now. It wasn't that way 35 years ago when I graduated. Bars pouring Belgian beers? We can't wait to come back sometime. Super cute coffee shop just down the street. Wide variety of restaurants. Amazing!

Deland is a cute old Town that has many positive aspects. Activities range from Sky diving, fishing, boating, Hunting, hiking, Biking and much more .. The historic section has many excellent Restaurants including a Brewery.

Dowtown DeLands is quirky and cute, easy to wander around. We ate at Boston Coffeehouse both days - they have fun latte flavors and delicious sandwiches. The Fontida Taqueria was also enjoyable! They had authentic street tacos, etc.

Deland is fine and a town close to springs & Daytona races. No problem with town, only gross motel. Accepting money lost, a lesson was learned. Do not stay here.

"We came for the second time this year, and it was a success just like the first trip. This time we also got to enjoy the trip by bringing our fury friend. The staff was always courteous and I appreciate that! "
"We loved the room; it was ocean view and had a nice balcony on the 4th floor. It took me about 4 coffee pods to figure out how to work the coffee maker; I asked the front desk and they said 'it's just like a Keurig' .... which I do not own. Coffee is very important to me! I suggest having a postcard with instructions for use on the in room coffee maker. The toilet was very loose from the floor and sounded like it would take off every time we used it. We took the $15 credit for foregoing housekeeping thinking this would be applied to our parking and/or resort fees but were told 'you have to purchase something within the facility' which was a little disappointing. I checked out the restaurant menu; but I am gluten free and cannot eat pork or chocolate and options were VERY limited and price was VERY expensive. Free breakfast would be very nice! Parking is VERY expensive and we had to park across the street. Please make this more affordable! We would go back because we loved the beach and the oceanview room!"
"This was a great place to stay. The staff at the front desk were very friendly. The maid did not make our beds one morning and just piled the towels on the counter. That was not a big deal, but still. Need more help maybe? I did see one bug in the bathroom. If I saw another one, I would have called. The room itself was good. The bathroom needed to be updated. Kind of run down. The access to the beach was great. Overall we would possibly stay there again. Price was decent. "
