"This place was quite the pleasant surprise! Nestled just on the edge of the wharf district, the Old Foundry hotel was clean and welcoming with just a touch of a modern, yet 1930’s feel. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and the walk-in rain shower was amazing. But the best part of this hotel is the staff and the cafe. The staff waited on us hand and foot, and even remembered our breakfast orders from the previous days. Anything we needed and they were on top of it immediately. As for the cafe, the food was incredible. We were especially fans of the French toast and the BLT, both of which were probably the best we’ve ever had. You won’t regret picking the place. A quick 10 minute walk to the water front, or about $4 USD Uber ride. "

"Rooms are very small but are fine for a one night stay before or after a flight. Lots of hot water. Soundproofing is not great. Staff very helpful. Shuttle to airport was R160 for 2. "
