"The host had excellent communication and was very responsive. This property is a gorgeous cabin in the woods and perfect for getting away for a few days! The hot tub was clean and warm and the views were breathtaking!!"

"We had a great time sitting on the upper deck and the lower deck overlooking the Mississippi. Watched the fishermen, barges, houseboats and eagles. Went to the Genoa Fish Hatchery which was very informative. Went to the Lock and Dam to watch the barges very interesting. In the evening it was fun watching the sunset, sitting around the fire and listening to the owls. The cabin had everything we needed. Cooked one night and ate out at a local restaurant. Had a large table for putting a puzzle together. Definitely recommend staying here."

Cozy Sportsman's Hideaway

"A little bit of a drive into the other towns...but this is what makes it very private. Had some detours but we did manage to find a perfect route. I will say watch out for the deer and please don't run over the bany bunnies! My favorite shopping place was the Horsefall varity store in Lansing,Iowa. Did the great river road on both sides of the Mississipi...Great scenery. Be sure to eat at the Riverhouse in Desoto...huge pizzas with great taste."

"Property was recently remodeled and the replacements included new furniture, thick towels and nice dishes . The beds were comfortable and the area quiet. The ground level contains a bedroom, full bath and the fish cleaning station. The parking area held our boat off the street which we also liked.We appreciated the location's proximity to Blackhawk Park and nearby restaurants. We previously owned land in the area which we sold off in 2010. We still enjoy visiting the area and other area rentals are not as nice as this. This is a two story rental best suited to those without mobility issues."
