The Pirate's Cove building has some after effects caused by the previous hurricanes that are not shown in the photos and descriptions which were taken prior to the storms. Per Pirate's Cove management, ongoing building repair and construction are necessary at times. This property is privately owned and managed by iTrip Daytona. iTrip Daytona does NOT manage OR have any control over the Pirate's Cove building (OR) its amenities. However, we are still more than happy to accept bookings if you'd like to stay in our privately owned condo unit!! Please inquire first before booking if a certain amenity is mandatory for your stay OR if you have any concerns of ongoing projects as this information is always evolving by building management. Beach access is available next door at Dunlawton beach ramp. There will be no refunds or credits for the aforementioned issues if applicable. ***

Economical 2nd floor, corner end, ocean-front Pirate's Cove unit provides direct and ocean-front views from its private balcony! (Sleeps 4). The oceanfront pool is directly on the beach allowing you to bask in the sun while enjoying the beauty of the beach. Simply relax on your private balcony while you enjoy the sounds of the evening tide. The longest of days melt away when such a picture perfect paradise awaits you!

This unit is equipped with a kitchenette (refrigerator, 2 burner stove, mini oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, crock pot, cookware, plates, and utensils), 2 person dinette, 2 full size beds and a 32" flat screen T.V. with free HBO and private and secured WiFi. Bathroom with shower and tub. Linens and bath towels included.

On-site laundry facility and a fitness room are also provided.

Pirate's Cove has a laid back atmosphere and is located in the heart of Daytona Beach Shores at the intersection of Dunlawton and A1A. The location is within walking distance to a miniature golf course, restaurants, bars, pharmacy and the Sunglow Fishing Pier with Crabby Joes Deck and Grill! Welcome to Pirate’s Cove!

Thank you for letting us stay in your condo ! The weather was chilly ,but we thoroughly enjoyed every minute ! The balcony ocean view was so perfect , our room was very accommodating for what we needed , cannot wait to come back ! We did have a minor problem with towels but it was handled promptly !

Closer to the beach, amazing location, a bit small for cooking also had some issues with the parking and was not able to use the parking permit during my stay also no one was there to assist with this problem. Also seems like this was the final warning, this made my stay a bit uncomfortable since I had to park at the beach. But other than that it was ok.

Left early. It was clean and great location and view. Actual unit was horribly dated, could not open kitchen cabinets due to age, bedding needs replacing, bed needs replacing . First time I’ve ever felt the need to buy bedding for my stay.

The bed is on wheels and that was annoying . The floor was sandy on arrival , kinda hard to combat that in general though so it wasn’t a big deal . Previous guest room parking pass and the property manager communicated quickly to find an alternate solution to the problem . I was pleased.

We booked this room last minute after another VRBO cancelled us less than a week before our arrival and since it was race week there was nothing economical about this room. I was torn because the reviews were so lopsided, either really bad or really good but considering we had few options we took a chance. Unfortunately the bad reviews were more accurate. We’re not super picky, I’m ok with needing updated so long as things are clean and in a sense they were. I’d call it quickie clean. I believe the floors were mopped and things were quickly wiped down the linen/towels were probably washed but they smelled musty and looked liked they’d been used to clean the floor previously. We have family not to far away we stayed here as to not crowd them and to have a ocean view, anyway we borrowed towels from them rather than use the towels supplied with the room. The lack of cleanliness were in the places that a quickie clean doesn’t reach. Things like the ceiling fan which had an obvious layer of crud on it as well as the ceiling and wall around it. The top of the refrigerator. The back of the coffee maker. Under the burners on the stove. Some of these things I cleaned myself, some I didn’t bother. The bed/mattress felt as if it were wrapped in an oversized piece of foam then sheets (which had holes in them) were holding it all together. However I must confess that we both slept well and it was surprisingly comfortable. That and the view were the only bright spots of our stay.

The location was perfect. The room was substantial. However. You really really really need to invest in new beds and bedding. The beds were horrible. And the bedding didnt seem clean. I'm not a picky person, have traveled alot. But these were the worst. Outside of that, the location was great and the room served its purpose.

Room needed work bathroom needs attention blinds were missing so you couldn’t really close them the building had no outside lighting that worked not really pleased at all. We were able to get sleep and I guess that’s what was main thing.

My wife and two young boys had a great 6 day vacation here! Based on the excellent location (right on the beach, beach view, 2nd floor in front of the elevator, nice area), the price couldn't really be beat! These were the only things that could have made it better: - Updated dishes and utensils that were actually microwave safe (or mention that visitors must bring their own) - More toilet paper/towels for the length of stay - The wash and dryer units in the building were broken and errored out. We know this was out of the owner's control, but made it more difficult to manage

The location had an awesome view of the beach. Other than that the property was disappointing. The mattresses are worn and creaky. The bedspreads are thin and old. The front door was difficult open as it stuck. The kitchen drawer fell off track. The kitchen itself is extremely dated. The gates that need keys are hard to open. We were told there is a trick to opening them. Overall it was not a pleasant property.

This room was not worth the money we paid to stay here. It has a beautiful view but that is the best thing about it. The floors were filthy from the moment we walked in. I understand it's hard to keep sand off the floor anywhere near the beach but this floor turned our feet black the day we arrived, before going to the beach. It needed to be mopped. The dishes were gross. We washed every one before use. There was no spatula or pizza cutter, which seem like essentials. The tub faucet leaks, which is peeling away the paint. The wifi wasn't strong enough for us to stream a movie. The beds smelled musty and the top cover didn't feel clean. The beds also rolled away from the wall as mentioned in other reviews. There are probably 6 small trash cans in the room but I would have preferred to have one large one with a lid, especially since one of the beds is right next to the kitchenette. We moved the garbage each night so we weren't smelling it while sleeping. There is also a light right outside the front door that shines through the window above the door all night making it difficult to sleep. There is only one place to plug in kitchen appliances and it's a power strip coming from behind the bed. We had to roll the cart out of the way to be able to use the stove top and sink but then move it back if we wanted to plug in the coffee pot or toaster oven. A new coat of paint and some updates to decor could make this room look much nicer. So although the location is convenient, I did not feel like I was on a relaxing vacation worth the money I spent to stay there for a week. The owner has a policy of notifying them of any issues within the first 24 hours. Although none of these are "issues" that someone could come fix, realizing all these things throughout the week had me very disappointed. I wouldn't stay in this room again.
