Cozy up with your favorite people beside a crackling fire in Hearthside’s stone fireplaces – in the living room or outside next to the expansive deck. Relax in the outdoor hot tub and enjoy fantastic stargazing year-round! Take in the mesmerizing view of Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge while your kids or dog play on the large lawn. The only sign of civilization is Timberline Mountain’s ski slopes poking over the treetops from a bedroom window, and you are equally close to the eclectic towns of Davis and Thomas and countless other recreational opportunities.
Hearthside boasts all-new furnishings and thoughtful design throughout its four bedrooms, 10-seat dining room, living room and den. The well-equipped kitchen offers Nespresso Virtuo, Keurig and traditional coffee makers and you will find a new 5-burner KitchenAid grill beside an 8-seat table on the deck. Remote work or school is a breeze with Wi-Fi and desks in every bedroom and the den or relax with three smart TVs and a collection of games. *A special note from the homeowner about the sleeping arrangements: Master bedroom: King bed, marble ensuite shower, smart TV, and a desk with great view. Cherry blossom room: King bed, hanging chair, smart TV, and a beautiful mural. Cinnamon room: queen bed, desk, and a view of Timberline Mountain. Sage room: a twin over queen bunk bed – perfect for kids or a fourth couple. It is all great stuff!! HEARTHSIDE NOW OFFERS CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING!
Four-wheel drive is necessary in the winter, but you will be safe from the elements with a garage and a mud room for your gear. Well behaved dogs are welcome with an additional fee. Winter stays will require 4 or all-wheel drive vehicles with the appropriate tires.

This home was chosen as our Blackwater Falls area trip. The home was spacious and provided a great master suite and ample additional bedrooms. The outdoor space was very nice that allowed a great fireplace and hot tub.

Amazing!

This home is beautiful!! We are able to relax!! Every room was amazing and fit all of our needs! Kitchen was well equipped for cooking! The back porch was off the charts relaxing!! The view was breathtaking!! It’s very tucked in away from the busy which is what we needed!! Your not without civilization, it’s like 5 minutes to gas station and a few restaurants! Overall 5 stars on this home!!!

The location is convenient to everything that we needed in Davis or Thomas. The back decks were so relaxing and fun. The hot tub was a huge hit to my 18 year old. It is beautifully decorated and furnished. There was plenty of space for everyone. When family came over the yard was perfect for yard games and hanging out. The kitchen is fully stocked. I highly recommend staying here.

It was spectacular!! Dining on the upper deck. Relaxing by the fire or in the hot tub on the lower deck. The only downside was that the three nights we had booked weren't long enough!We enjoyed horseback riding at Mountain Trail, swimming at Canaan Valley Resort and mini golf at Almost Heaven.Sirianni's for pizza, Hellbenders for burritos, Stumptown Ale and the lounge at the Billy for adult beverages and of course ice cream! We've already booked Hearthside for long weekends in September and October. This is a house we will return to again and again!

We’ve always stayed in Old Timberline so we’re reluctant. Could not have been more pleased. Back yard is the nature preserve and there was a wonderful hot tub and chimney fireplace outside. Clean... first to,e I’ve not cleaned something in a rental before using it. Beds comfy, just a beautiful house. Only negative is 3 bedrooms share one small bathroom. Will stay here again.

The rental itself had everything we could’ve needed. Our lone complaint would be the master bedroom didn’t get as cool as the other rooms in the house (they were like iceboxes while master was tolerable). We did have an issue during our stay with water gushing out of a light receptacle in the laundry room ceiling one morning and a maintenance person came promptly. He wasn’t able to find the cause of the water
