"Let's start with the good: The property is very close to North Cascades park. It was very quiet and far enough back from the road to not be disturbed by cars. The large meadow from the Theme Cabins was beautiful. Firepits with ample seating & the property supplied wood for evening fires. The scenery was magnificent with lush trees & great views of the mountains. Right across from the Skagit River which you can walk to for some nice river views. The staff were helpful but slightly overwhelmed. Here is the other side of the coin: The site states that the cabin is fully stocked but was very limited. We had to go ask for several items: dish soap, coffee, paper towels. The owners have made efforts to assuage the mice problem as evidenced by the traps all over the property. But, you are in nature and mice are an inevitable issue. Put your food in the fridge or plan on putting it up on top of the cupboards or mice proof containers. We had our bread & apples eaten though by mice in the night before we realized. We also had mice droppings in all the cookware so be prepared to clean thoroughly even if you think the dishes are clean. Also, buy food in one of the small towns (Darrington) before arriving as some of the restaurants will be closed & there is limited grocery available in town. What they do have is very expensive!!"

"My favorite place to stay!! Always cozy for any weather situation, clean and hot tub is ready for soaking with the best views in town. I've noticed upgrades every stay!! The only thing wrong is having to leave. I keep enough pictures in my Texas home to plan the next visit as soon as possible with a very welcoming host."

"Cute house and perfect for our family. It was a great location as a home base to go in and out of the North Cascades National Park. Clean and had all the essentials for our stay. Would definitely stay here again!"

"My family-daughter(9), son (2), husband and two dogs had the best stay at this beautiful rental. Perfect spot for exploring or just staying in to enjoy the property. We definitely plans to come back!"

"The front desk was deserted and when called a man grunted something indicating he'd be there momentarily. He was. And then he checked us in without a single word, very slowly. The card machine was barely running. The property is rough and seems to be largely occupied by more permanent tenants. Outside it smells a little of the ashtrays provided. Room was large, with a small sitting area and kitchenette with a microwave and a full size fridge. Television set up was weird, right in the middle of the room. Air conditioner was *filthy*. The entire floor sloped. The toilet wasn't sealed to the floor. The king bed was in the corner of the room and the pillows were strategically placed to hide scuffs (and maybe dirt?) feom.what obviously used to be some kind of frame or headboard. Bed was pretty comfortable but I did not trust the linens based on the rest of the property. No bed bugs but severe staining of the mattress (to be expected but there didn't seem to now be a protector of any kind between the fitted sheet and the mattress). And there was no smoke alarm - the wiring had been covered up by a round of masking tape, presumably from painting, but never replaced. All for $130 which felt outrageous. I couldn't even bear to sleep there. I left at like 3 am when I realized I was too uncomfortable to sleep."

"This is a truly magical place! It’s straight out of a fairy tale. From the heated floors in the bathroom to the hot tub overlooking the rushing river, everything about this rental is truly breathtaking. Beds are comfortable, house was extremely clean, kitchen was large enough for moving around in. Lots of games to choose from. TV was a bit small but we were trying to disconnect, anyways. Bathroom was tidy and clean. The hosts were extremely communicative and kind and checked in on us halfway through our short getaway & answered any questions my husband and I had. There were directions for checking in and out and made the departure process simple. If you’re considering staying here, do it!"
