All staff we encountered were friendly, very attentive and knowledgeable about the history of the building, its original builders and past residents. Experiencing a century's step back in time within the original decor and ambiance and "old school" service was an extremely refreshing change from typical hotels. Being early in the summer season, we found the beach was nearly deserted for a late morning walk. Not to be missed if you have the opportunity, even if just for a refreshment or a meal. Reserve well ahead (months, not weeks) if you intend to stay during peak times."
